Original 1970 first pressing German vinyl in cool eerie laminated gatefold cover ...forget the later Tangerine Dream repetitive sequencer stuff...for this is the otherworldly exploratory acid progressive space sounds the DREAM crew first created, making 4 superb albums before being discovered by masses and changing their progressive-space into a more accessible variation away from their beginnings...None better than the 1970 ALPHA CENTAURI ...a journey to the black hole in way way outer space -- filled with ominous bubbling gurgling spacy keys and sci-fi effects in the great / legendary tradition of the OHR label releases...The music is quite a bit more lengthy than before, no more raw, aggressive psychedelic guitar jams here. "Sunrise in the Third System" proves that, with strange sounding electronics, and some sort of strange string keyboard. "Fly and Collision of Comas Sola" starts off with more electronic effects, with spacy organ (almost sounds like a pipe organ). It won't be until the end when Franke gives us some drum work. This is the only cut the album with drums. Then you get the side length title track. This is the band going in to exploratory space "music", if you want to call it that. Strange wind sounds, lots of flute to go with it and all sorts of strange assorted electronic effects. Listeners may like how this piece ends with some sinister spoken dialog in German against a backdrop of organ and wordless voices. Not exactly accessible and this is recommended for those who want something more adventurous and way-out....

CONDITION: The laminated gatefold cover in great shape...M- with no problems, the winner should LOVE it!
The vinyl is all glossy clean and well kept over the past 40 years..."EX" (excellent) to M- which is saying something if you know anything about how these old OHR label pressings tend to turn up worn out...
