We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Original 1968 first pressing vinyl ...the phenomenal UK blues boom sound of the mighty Chicken Shack! Their dynamic first album featuring guitarist/vocalist Stan Web and organ/ vocalist Chistine Perfect....
This British blues-rock group is remembered mostly for their keyboard player, Christine Perfect, who would join Fleetwood Mac after marrying John McVie. Although they were one of the top five acts of the British blues boom, Chicken Shack was quite popular for a time in the late '60s, placing two albums in the British Top 20. The front person of Chicken was guitarist Stan Webb, who would excite British audiences by going into the crowd while performing, courtesy of his 100-meter-long guitar lead. Chicken Shack were signed to Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label, a British blues pillar that had its biggest success with early Fleetwood Mac.
Chicken Shack was actually not far behind Mac in popularity in the late '60s, purveying a more traditional brand of Chicago blues, heavily influenced by Chicago blues. Although Webb took most of the songwriting and vocal duties, Christine Perfect also chipped in with occasional compositions and lead singing. In fact, she sang lead on their only British Top 20 single, "I'd Rather Go Blind" (1969).
This is a promising debut, especially noteworthy for Webb's inspired stinging guitar and Christine Perfect's understated vocals. Webb does justice to his mentor with two instrumentals, Freddie King's "San-Ho-Zay" and his own "Webbed Feet," and Perfect proves the ideal counterpart — one of the few pianists paying homage to King's longtime collaborator Sonny Thompson. Overall nice blues-boom sound, typical of Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label.

CONDITION: The cover has only a little light shelf wear at VG++ the seams are solid, there are no bends, no writing. Overall keeper, an item (cover) you would not put back if found in person.
