VG+ Original First Press. Released on August 12, 1981, Never Too Much is the debut solo studio album by American R&B legend Luther Vandross. It is widely considered a soul masterpiece that established Vandross as a premier vocalist and songwriter.

The debut album blends post-disco grooves with sophisticated soul ballads.The title track, "Never Too Much"reached #1 on the R&B charts.
"A House is Not a Home," is a legendary rendition and a Burt Bacharach original, showcases Vandross's emotional depth. "A House Is Not a Home," showcasing his emotional depth. "Sugar and Spice" and "Don't You Know That" also reached Top 10 status on the R& B charts.

The album reached #1 on the Top R&B Albums chart, earned double platinum certification, and two Grammy nominations in 1982 for Best New Artist and Best R&B Vocal Performance.
