Lula Reed - Blue and Moody LP (1958, King 604) VG-/VG-, DG 1st Press - Blues

Album: Blue and Moody


Description: Original mono 1st pressing on King Records with glossy cover.  Has the black label and deep groove.  Really cool record - music is a mix of blues, r&b and rockabilly.  Some great stuff on here.  Nice thick vinyl.  A hard-to-find LP.  Comes from a collection originally owned by a Yale University radio DJ, hence the check marks on the back.  

Sleeve Condition: VG-, main issue is water damage at the bottom in an approx 1.5"x5" area where the litho is torn away.  3" split on bottom edge has old tape repair.  No other splits.  Has some checks and stars in pencil on the back.  Same area of water damage on the back as well.  Honestly, this doesn't display too bad and fortunately, the worst damage is at the back and bottom so it looks very nice when flipping through the crate.  


Vinyl: VG-, has lots of small scratches.  Nothing really feelable or particularly deep.  Plays through on my player with no problems.  Does have some background noise, but still an enjoyable listen.  Label is in pretty good shape with no tears or stickers, but does have some spindle wear.
