This is an Original excellent copy of Ram Dass' Love Serve Remember Lp. This comes w/ Booklet about the entire set. Best way to describe you would have to read Richard Alperts or Ram Dass' book Be Here Now. This was his spiritual journey to the Himalayas after being fired from his teaching job at Harvard for doing LSD experiments w / Harvard youth. It was there he met his Guru Neem Karoli Baba and went on the spiritual path. This Boxset set is a Ram Dass radio production from 1973. These were recordings of four all night radio programs on WBAI radio station in upstate New York. Contains Eastern Meditation, Music and philosophy which was sweeping the country at that time. These records have basic Hindu chants, it has the Hari Khrisnas, story telling, one whole side is the Ramayana and chants like Om Nama Shivaya. It has a Zen side and a Christian side and my favorite are the call ins where people would call in and ask Ram Dass questions about their own spritual path. It also has the complete Booklet. Records are in Very Fine condition. The original paper sleeves have some splits. Cardboard Bookset Cover is in Very Good condition but there is a slight cut on the edge of one side. See pics. The Booklet is complete and is in Very Fine condition. I have played through all sides and it is excellent.
This Boxset came out Mail Order only and is rare. Back then the New Age Bookstores would order them in for their customers...Definatly a unique period in US history.
