Description
An original 1st press of FOUR SAIL on the UK Elektra label. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill printed cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original generic white 'patent applied for' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. To state the bleeding obvious..LOVE has to be played on a decent clean copy or you're going to end up sorely disappointed! This copy is well preserved and looks/sounds much much better than what usually surfaces. The audio has great purity and you can hear deep into the mix - no extraneous noise to distract you. Interference is both minimal and infrequent. I couldn't detect more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots & one tick/click in 'Montgomery'. Just the sought of standard one has to insist on with this title. A super rendition and one that be very difficult to better. Nice!
Cover (Ex-) Very nice clean front cover without surface wear or creasing. The rear looks nice too with just a light hint of fade to it. There's a bit of edge wear in places, but nothing that noticeable. The spine is pretty much entirely intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged, but no markings. One side has split and been taped up to secure it.
