Great story behind this...my father-in-law was a drummer in a "big band" style orchestra up in Newfoundland, Canada back in the 40's through the 70's. He was trying to get Louis Armstrong to come up and put on a show (not sure what year) but his management was not sure if they would draw a big enough crowd up in the great white north, so they were hesitant to send him up. As a way to sweeten the deal, my father-in-law put up his house as collateral to ensure the show would take place and Louis's team would get paid. Needless to say, it all worked out and this item is the result.
Louis was very grateful and signed and personalized it to my father-in-law, Eric, inside the front cover (see photos).
