Description
Hi! You are bidding on a self-titled album by the Irish progressive folk band Loudest Whisper. The album was released in 1981 on the Polydor label, catalog number 2908043. The album is in extremely nice condition, with no scratches or scuffs. The jacket is also in extremely nice condition. There is a very light scratch across the lower left quadrant of the front cover, and the original store sticker from Golden Discs is still attached. There are very light creases at the lower right and left corners of the back of the cover.
The self-titled album was a follow up to the 1973 cult favorite Children of Lir. That one has been re-released on CD. As far as I can tell, the 1981 self-titled album has never been re-released on CD.
Based in Fermoy, Co. Cork, Loudest Whisper were led by lead singer and songwriter Brian O'Reilly. O'Reilly appears to have written all but one of the songs on this album. Loudest Whisper have been said to have inspired U2.
Songs are:
Side 1:
Night Time in the City Home She Moved Thro the Fair You and I Nothing At All Magic Carpet
Side 2:
Old Friend John The Name of the Game Wheel of Fortune Pied Piper Grey Skies Cold Winds Blow
Winning bidder to pay $3.33 media rate postage in the U.S. Due to the fact that the US post office is totally effed up right now, I can only mail the album outside of the U.S. by Priority Mail International, which guarantees insurance. Personal cheque preferred from the U.S.; however, I also accept PayPal. Please e-mail if you have any questions.
Good luck, and thanks for looking!
