Description
Lost Generation Young Tough & Terrible Brunswick 754178 LP Northern Soul R&B Smooth Slick Funk Stereo
Lost Generation
Young Tough And Terrible
Brunswick BL754178.
Original vintage pressing.
Deadwax / Trail-Off : 'G.K.' etched into the trail-off on both sides.
One of the best and most unusual harmony soul groups from out of Chicago. Nice tripped-out grooves that’s different than the tighter styles of other groups from the same scene, nice use of instruments blended together, along with some superbad arrangements by Tom Tom Washington, Eugene Record, and Cliff Davis. Driving vocal energy, whether smooth or raw, on all the tracks, fast or slinky slow . They also delve into the righteous side of soul with some strong message tracks too, but not wimpy or saccharine. This one's a winner from start to finish. Solid instrumental backing, amazing separation, balance, full sound. A 1970's gem.Tracks: Side One: This Is The Lost Generation (Vocal) / Tired Of Being Alone (Al Green) / All In The Course Of A Day / You've Got To Crawl Before You Walk (A. Bond. G. Perry, G. Johnson, R. Dunbar) / Sure Is Funky. Side Two: The Young, Tough And The Terrible / Paulette / Thin Line Between Love And Hate / One More Bridge To Cross / This Is The Lost Generation (Instrumental).
All Records are cleaned and viewed under bright light, as well as cautiously spot audio checked at loud volume.
