NOTES: Super rare original 1967 Costa Rican garage beat LP on Indica. This is one of the better beat records I have heard from this region. Good choices in covers plus a few originals. Nice punchy sound - not wimpy like beat LP's can sometimes be. The record plays MUCH better than it looks - mostly play grades in the VG area. Record has some deeply ingrained smudges that I had difficulty cleaning off - maybe a few VPI spins will help. There is also major spindle hole wear. There are some smaller scuffs and marks, but no deep scratches. The cover is quite decent for a record from this region and era: top seam is completely split and there are a few small stains. Address labels on 1 label side and on front cover.

GRADES: SEALED, NM, EXC, VG+, VG, VG-, G, FAIR, POOR.

I grade strictly under bright light. My highest grade for an unsealed record is NM (NEAR MINT) - a record must look like new to be graded NM! An EXC record will show only slight signs of prior play. A VG+ is a solid used record that should play well but has minor visual flaws. A VG has more obvious flaws BUT is not trashed. Records graded VG- or worse will often play much better than they look.
