   For sale is Los Lobos' How Will The Wolf Survive?, originally released in 1984 by Slash Records as a promotional copy with a gold stamp on the front cover. In the dead wax between the label and the last track is etched "Precision" followed by the matrix numbers SH-1/SH-1 and "delta 8032-X". These etching indicate that the record was mastered at Precision Lacquers, Hollywood, California and a first stamper was used to make this first edition, pressed at Monarch Record Manufacturing, Los Angeles, California, These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering that results in superior sound quality, sought after by collectors and music lovers. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the album into a MFSL archival inner sleeve.  Doing this protects the integrity of vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as Near Mint with one minor corner blunt. The spine is Near Mint. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of some faint sleeve marks and one very slight surface scratch. I'm play grading it as Near Mint. This is the best copy of this record that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find a copy in this condition, being that it is a Monarch, Precision, promotional pressing.
