CORNELIUS GREEN, aka Lonesome Sundown, from the heartland of Louisiana was given his stage name by the owner of EXCELLO RECORDS, Jay Miller, who had a flair for recognizing talent. This is the first and the last LP for one of the most gifted singers in Louisiana. Here we can listen to Lonesome as he is supported by Lazy Lester on the harp and a robust Katie Webster on the piano.
After this LP was released, Lonesome Sundown "disappeared from the blues scene."

The LP is in near mint condition. The cover is in excellent shape with the tiniest crumpling on the corners.
** if you are a Blues collector, you will find we are putting hundreds of vintage blues LPs up for auction over the coming year. My husband is grudgingly downsizing his massive collection which he has acquired over the past 40 years and you should find these listings worth considering. Because he was the only owner of these LPs and he had too many to listen to, they were played very, very little and are all in excellent condition.
