This rare much sought after Oriental Jazz LP by Lloyd Miller was recorded in the 1960s, only 500 pressed. Dr. Lloyd Miller, who is still performing weekly in various locations, decided to sell his last very few of these originals.

Along with the pristine condition Oriental Jazz vinyl, winning Bidder receives Miller's Oriental Jazz DVD of his 1960s TV broadcast recordings featured on the vinyl and other 1960s and early 1970s TV broadcasts in Utah and on NIRT in Tehran.
As a gift, Miller will include the Oriental Jazz CD and his 16 gig flash drive containing all his best videos from his Oriental Jazz TV broadcasts in the 1960s and early 1970s at KBYU, KUED and NIRTV in Tehran, audios of his best recordings since 1950, his books of 500 and 400 pages, photos, etc. This flash drive has been valued at over $100.
After spending many years in Europe during the late 1950s and early 1960s where he performed with and influenced Don Ellis, Eddie Harris, Jef Gilson (soloist and featured on Gilson's first 10" LP) Freddie Deronde, Jaques Pelzer, Lennart Jansson, Lars Farnlof, Peter Trunk and Albert Mangelsdorf among others, Dr. Miller returned to the US to continue creating East West jazz blends.
Thus Lloyd Miller was a main original innovator of the Oriental Jazz concept in the 1950s which is currently enjoying a revival due to air-play throughout Europe by DJ's such as Gilles Peterson in London. Dr. Lloyd Miller first went to Iran in 1957 and returned for an extended stay of seven years beginning with a Fulbright scholarship in the 1970s. This resulted in the publication of "Music and Song in Persia: The Art of Avaz" by Curzon Press, London, Afghan Music and Dance plus other publications included on the free flash drive.
