This obscure album documents his early 70s collaborations with avant garde composer and Stockhausen student Richard Grayson, with Grayson credited as pianist-composer and Oberheim as engineer. According to the notes, the pieces were inspired as much by modern artists like Terry Riley and the Beatles as by classical composers like Bach and Mozart. This is an artifact of synth history and a must for collectors of Robert Moog, Donald Buchla, ARP, Sequential Circuits, New England Digital Synclavier, Roland, EMS Synthi, Serge, and other early electronic instruments.

Tom Oberheim is an electronic instrument engineer who founded Oberheim Inc., highly regarded for its SEM, DS-2, TVS-1, OB-X, and OB-8 classic synthesizers (among the first commercially available polyphonic synths) and DMX early drum machine; he also has a background in choral music and has performed with the Gregg Smith Singers and the Roger Wagner Chorale. • Grayson studied composition with Henri Pousseur and Karlheinz Stockhausen, and as a pianist is known for recording and performing works by Luigi Dallapiccola, Aurelio de la Vega, Andrew Imbrie, Charles Ives, Leonard Rosenman, George Antheil, and Roy Travis. • This lp should be of interest to fans of live electronic musicians like Laszlo Dubrovay, David Tudor, Hugh Davies, Musica Elettronica Viva (MEV), AMM, Il Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuovo Consonanza, Otomo Yoshihide, Gordon Mumma, Alvin Lucier, David Behrman, Sonic Arts Union, Frederic Rzewski, Alvin Curran, Richard Teitelbaum, Nurse With Wound (NWW), and Cornelius Cardew.

Packing I pack professionally and with the utmost care drawn from years of experience trading vinyl internationally. I use new record mailers from Cameron Packaging (which I have determined are the best and most protective) reinforced with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap padding. All records are shipped with poly plastic sleeves and with the vinyl outside of the cover to prevent damage. All packages are completely sealed with strong packing tape covering all openings. Unless requested, no paper invoice is included in the package, both to save trees and to avoid customs difficulties. If you'd like your package done any differently, just let me know.
