This is one of Jimi Hendrix's early recordings, a couple of years before he made it big with The Jimi Hendrix Experience.  In this Vee Jay Promo 45 Jimi plays lead guitar – his sound is very distinctive. This super rare promo is in NM+ condition. A great addition to your Jimi Hendrix collection.Very clean Vee Jay highly collectible company sleeve included!

From Wikipedia: On March 1, 1964, Hendrix (then calling himself Maurice James) began recording and performing with Little Richard. Hendrix would later (1966) say, "I want to do with my guitar what Little Richard does with his voice." 
Hendrix clashed with Richard, over tardiness, wardrobe, and above all, Hendrix's stage antics. Hendrix left Richard and played with Ike & Tina Turener briefly before returning back to Richard. Months later, he was either fired or he left Little Richard after missing the tour bus in Washington, D.C.
