On offer is a really nice and rare copy of the Little Richard's superb debut 'Here's Little Richard', issued in the USA in 1957 on the black and gold Specialty label. This is a fantastic album that is still a powerful and startling listening experience - just look at the track list and nothing further need be said - a genuine classic! This particular copy is in very nice condition and comes from our own collection, it has been loved and well cared for many years. There are a lot of beat-up copies and re-issues available but if you want a nice tidy classic USA issue - grab it while you can.
The vinyl is easily graded VG++ / Excellent, clean and shiny, a couple of light surface marks/scuffs to side 2 that are non feel-able and have no impact on playback, there looks like a little groove wear on track 5 side 2 but this is also superficial, the playback is really great! This is a rare and very important record so my description is thorough and accurate. It is a genuine 1957 deep groove Specialty issue with hand etched matrix numbers, it sits flat and has no bubbles or pressing flaws. I think you will be very happy with this record.
The heavy glossy front laminated USA paste on back cover is excellent, very solid and clean, a little light edge and opening corner wear at the bottom but no splits, creases or BB holes, a little laminate peel on opening edge otherwise it is superb. The paste on reverse with the red print is also clean and bright with only a little sticker removal tear near top left, and a light crease to bottom right. Overall this is a solid, clean and vibrant cover.
The spine is solid and clean and all text is legible.
Labels are very clean and excellent.
Vintage poly-lined inner sleeve is excellent.
