LIPSTICK TRACES - A SECRET HISTORY OF
MANIC STREET PREACHERS
ULTRARARE 3 x 12" LP Records 2003 UK 35-track vinyl record set pressed on a limited edition pressing of 1000 copies only.
Housed in a superb tri-fold flocked & textured 'Leopard Skin' picture sleeve - a gorgeous unusual design that feels like animal skin.
This auction is for a very RARE triple vinyl gatefold album: Lipstick Traces, A Secret History of Manic Street Preachers which was issued in 2003 and limited to only 1000 pressings. It has an amazing flocked textured cover, is very hard to source and usually sells for £300+
I've loved the Manic Street Preachers since my teens and count myself as very lucky to have seen them play lots of amazing gigs from their Generation Terrorist days. I saved up and bought this album brand new from my local record shop when it was released and can confirm it has never been played. It's a sad sale but it's been a very hard year financially so it's time to let another fan enjoy it.
The condition is listed as "Used" as ithe album has been stored on a shelf out of direct sunlight for 17 years. It will be dispatched with Royal Mail Special Delivery 1pm which provides up to £500 compensation for peace of mind due to the album's rarity and value.
The actual vinyl in this triple LP edition is in pristine unplayed condition but the outer record sleeve is showing a small amount of wear on the spine from where it has been stored. I personally don't think it's anything major and not obvious at first glance due to the leopard print design and flocked fuzzy fur texture of the cover but I want to be as honest as possible and highlight it to any potential buyers.
