 A REALLY HARD SWIRL TO FIND,ESPECIALLY IN THIS BARELY PLAYED SUPREME CONDITION
+++  THE BEST ORIGINAL
I HAVE EVER SEEN+++

ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!STUNNING SONGCRAFT!!!AN INSPIRATION TO MANY SUBSEQUENT TOPACTS!!!IT IS TRULY PERPLEXING WHY LINDA HOYLE DID NOT MAKE THE BIG LEAGUE!!!

!!!!AN EXTREMELY HARD FIND!!! A few hundred (rumoured to be around 300) were ever pressed of this fantastic prog/psych album. It is hard to understand why this never sold in larger numbers.

In all my years this is only the second time I have come across this PROGMONSTER of which only 300 are rumoured to be about. Rare ... anyone?? This one is more desirable still as the vinyl does not appear to have been played very much. Under an intense light there are no lines or marks to be seen .

Sensational sound quality, I have played this through in its entirety and it was a great joy!!! NO skips or jumps. NO clicks or crackle, this is really a stunning heavy glossy jet black vinyl .  Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

            Linda Hoyle first made her name known with Affinity. After they split up the record label maintained her for a next solo album. The songs on this album are self-penned, very diverse and of an extreme sophistication. Hoyle's beautiful versatile voice is fantastic in any style, be it folk, blues or even hard rock, just mesmerising!! She had an appearance in the BBC's "Old Grey Whistle Test" backed by Chris Spedding and members of the Soft Machine and Nucleus. For whatever reason this stunning album, without filler and now rightly regarded as a lost classic, sold zilch!!!

         It's hard to put  into words how stunning this album is. By showcasing Linda Hoyle's versatility it probably plays into the hands of reviewers who want to describe it as inconsistent or unfocused, but it is in fact wonderfully diverse: a voice like this it would be madness to tie to one style when she shines at so many.

     Hymn to Valerie S is dark and brooding, Journey's End is big and grand, but best of all in my opinion are the moody, melancholy ballads, Paper Tulips, Morning for One, Lonely Women and of course Marty Mole. Hoyle has an extraordinary ability to sing with an almost operatic passion without raising the volume of her voice; it's a strange and enchanting trait. Marty Mole is a particularly bewitching track, a story of toys coming to life that wouldn't have been out of place on Genesis' Nursery Cryme album of the same year. It has something of Syd Barrett in its surrealness but is much more focused and the allegory it tells of Linda's experiences in the music biz is much more tight and to the point than merely being hippy fantasising.

       Vinyl: EX++ to NM!! A sensational find!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. There are NO jumps NO skips NO sticks. This vinyl has barely been played. There are NO marks and NO hairlines!!! This is the ultimate MUSEUM copy that will serve as a very healthy investment for the future!! I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection.

     Gatefold Sleeve:  EX++.  NO creases. A wonderful upgrade hardly found in this beautifully preserved condition.  The inside gatefold is likewise in stunning condition. Beautiful deadstraight edges and a great crisp opening. These matt Vertigo sleeves are prone to extensive wear. This one is very close to perfect!!!  I think it will be a very difficult task to find this album at all any time soon, leave alone in this STUNNING condition!!! The spine is 100%.  It is extremely hard to find this album at all. Finding it in this supreme condition is nearly impossible!!!

Inner Vertigo Swirl sleeve: EX condition. This has the correct date stamp, the original polylined inner!! Only some slight yellowing near the edges. Hard to find swirl inners that have not yellowed somewhat.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Nowadays any Vertigo Swirl is very collectible. There are, however, a select few, not more than a dozen or so that will raise the pulses of collectors around the world. This is one of them!!! This album is impossible to find esp. in this sublime condition!!! One of four hardest to find Swirls, probably with "Ben", "Catapilla" and "Tudor Lodge".

 This is  a great and seriously collectable super album!!

Labels: NM!!! Unbelievable!! Still like it was bought all those years ago.

Important : International Postage. This will be sent via Signed For service or Airsure service depending on the destination country. A different courier like UPS or DHL might be used for certain countries. This will be sent fully insured!! Packaging will be thorough and substantial with two additional stiffeners on each side and the disc separated from the sleeve to prevent scything.

UK postage: if over GBP 200.00 this will be sent out via Special Delivery. This will be fully insured for GBP 7.50.

In my opinion an absolute top copy which could only be bettered by utilising a time travelling device! As always I have a no quibble money refund option in place in case you are not 100% satisfied!!!

I had a few questions about warping. The vinyl has NO warps!! It sits perfectly flat on the turntable.
