This is a Holy-Grail item for blues collectors. It's understandable...besides being incredibly rare, it's an amazing set from Lightnin' Sam Hopkins.
Vinyl is VISUALLY a VG with a number of surface scuffs, though no major scratches, plays clean with no skips or deep scratches, though background noise is noticable when quiet, or at the quiet moments of the music, mostly during the first 2 songs on each side of the disk, the songs toward the inside if the vinyl are much more quiet. On the second side of the vinyl there is an occasional subtle "whoosh" at intervals on the first 2-3 songs, the sound is perhaps graded VG overall, perhaps VG+ on some songs and VG- on other cuts. I am trying to be "conservative" in the grading as I am not a record dealer. The sleave and cover are in overall fair conidition, as shown in the photos. I have owned this since 1983, I never played this album much myself, and now I am selling my record collection. Please see my other record sales and email any questions. I also have this album in itunes and perhaps I could send a sample of the sound quality, assuming this is possible.

From the liner notes: The session and two bottles of gin were finished and Lightnin just shuffled away counting his money. We have not seen or heard from him since, but everytime the phone rings we somehow hope we'll hear his voice sayin' "Man, I wrote a mess o' tunes for you."
