LIGHTNIN' HOPKINS waxed many records, and this is one of his better sessions.  Just him and a drummer get the Blues job done RIGHT.  The sound is good, too.
VINYL This disc is VG, few small pops present.
COVER The cover has damage on the spine and top, bottom is pretty good (see photos).  No stains or damage to the cover faces.  G+

    Compilations of Herald's ?recordings originally released on 7-inch singles in the 50s. All tracks recorded in 1954 in Houston.
First Long Play vinyl release was the Lightnin' And The Blues, followed by many reissues on Vinyl and CD with a variety of covers, titles and track list.
All tracks recorded in 1954 and issued on  EP's; Herald LP-1012 is the first 12" issue.

      GRADING SCALE - RECORDS **AUDIBLE** NM No noise from scratches.   VG+ No more than three light clicks per side VG Slight sufrace noise; only a few light scratches and/or pops on each side. G clicks are audible on most tracks; no skips, clicks last only a few revolutions; does not interfere with listening pleasure     GRADING SCALE - COVERS New Sealed in shrink wrap VG May have scuffs on one or both sides; contact wear on one or more seams; Max of two seam splits less than 2" acceptable.  No stains but discoloration permitted.   G More scuffs than VG; seams have more wear which may render the spine printing unreadable.  Seam splits of around 2" are permitted on any seam.  Stains are permitted. G- Looks pretty beat up; seams are heavily worn and/or split.  Stains are on one or both sides.
