Description
This is a very tidy example of the Let it Be box set from 1970. I would describe the condition as excellent and would make the following notes about all the component parts:-
Vinyl - The Vinyl is in astonishingly good condition for a 47 year old record and retains a very bright sheen. There is the very occasion barely noticeable hairline as you would expect from handling and play but if and when you buy it and receive it you will see what I mean by its air of newness.
Inner - The inner is the correct white inner bag and has no splits.
Pressing marks in runout wax - YEX 773-2U and YEX 774-2U.
LP sleeve - The album sleeve is in absolutely rooper-dooper almost new condition, no edge wear and the spine is a flat cover style as it is designed to fit in a box so no spine damage. The sleeve has the red apple not the green one on the back.
Inner tray - The inner tray is original and is in one complete piece. The known pressure points on this album's tray (the corners of where the book fits into the slot) show some slight wear from sliding in and out of the slipcase but are not showing any signs of becoming detached and with love and care will not do so for another 50 years! Slight bends in the middle of the top and bottom of the tray but again, this is what happens with these trays and it's very minor.
Outer tray - As per the inner tray, the outer is original and is in great condition for the age. You can tell that it has been taken in and out of the slipcase but it is all in one piece and will remain so infinitely if not mistreated, which as a record collector you won't be doing of course!
The book - The book is in fantastic condition. No pages detached or partly detached and there is no burring of the corners.
Laminated slipcase - The slipcase is in similarly good condition. The odd crease from storage but very minor and this slipcase is in excellent shape for its age.
The poster - This is the only catch with this box set. The poster is a replacement (so consequently in pretty much mint condition). I am guessing this originally came without a poster so the previous owner has added one. Don't forget, the inner and outer trays are original.
I will pack this properly for such a valuable item, don't worry about that and because I hope for it to fetch a good price, the postage is free. If you want to collect in person that's fine, Castleford in West Yorkshire.
