Description

Lester Young Norgran 1022

Lester Young (ts) Gildo Mahones (p), John Ore (b), Connie Kay (d) Jessie Drakes (t) recorded 1954

Both sides of record are bright, glossy and grooves do not show wear. Side A is VG++, no scratches or scuffs. Side B is VG+ and there are some very light "sleeve scuffs" and 2 light scratches on it. I test played the side and the scratches are well beneath the level of the music, even on the ballad "I'm In The Mood For Love", on which some light ticking can be heard. Both sides have the light surface noise typical of Norgran pressings. The record plays well and enjoyably. Cover is VG. Top and bottom seams split all the way across and untaped. Spine split at top and bottom 1-2 inches. Moderate overall wear and price stamp on front and back. Still looks fairly good; the splits are the main problem.

Records are graded visually. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or early 60s records M-. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
