Description

This is the original deep groove pressing of Lester Young “The President Plays” on the yellow trumpeter labels of Norgran MGN-1054.  The playing surface is virtually in new condition, with a beautiful luster; perhaps played once, if at all. The laminated David Stone Martin cover is in remarkable condition – clean throughout with just light rubbing at the bottom of the back and age toning at the top and right edge; sharp corners and unworn top and bottom seams; slight wear and a closed break at the center of the spine.  Personnel include Oscar Peterson, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown, and J.C. Heard.  $200.00.
