Description
Lester Young and His Tenor Sax Series Aladdin LP No. 801 Vol. 1. Original 1956 deep groove pressing with the first pressing blue label. Extremely rare, the blue label is almost never seen, as most of these turn up with the more common maroon label. Back slick lists songs from Volume 2 even though it clearly states Vol. 1 above the liner notes and on the label.
Record: Grades a strong VG with plenty of original gloss. Some light clicks are audible during play but all in all this is a great sounding record with flawless labels.
Sleeve: Light ring wear on front with some scattered wear marks (see photo), back has light watermarks around all four edges. There is a 3 inch seam split on the top right spine, a 7 inch seam split on the bottom right spine.
