Description
Leon Russell
Recorded Live From An Earlier Broadcast
Keylo 102
U.S. 12" 33-1/3 RPM album, yellow vinyl
This record was taken from Leon Russell and Friends, a one-hour TV program originally aired in 1971 on KCET in Los Angeles. This was the first national "stereo" rock-and-roll TV broadcast.
This appeared in various formats and titles such as Sessions on both TMOQ and Bush Records, as well as Master of Space and Time on Zerocks. This version is on the Keylo label, also known for their release of Elton John's Very Alive LP. Versions of this item exist with the TMOQ inserted onto the cover insert.
This record is beautiful yellow vinyl with blue labels. The vinyl itself visually grades at VG++, with some spider-y sleeve marks. Labels have minor spindle marks, indicating some careful play. The insert (shown) is loose (not glued) and VG+, decent shape with some edge wear, and the plain white cover is soiled, but easily replaced since nothing is attached to it.
Oh yeah, it's a great show. That's why so many versions existed in the early 1970s.
