Description
This listing consists of a very controversial pressing from John Lennon and Yoko Ono released on Apple Records (via Tetragrammaton Records) in November of 1968,
TWO VIRGINS
This version is an ORIGINAL & AUTHENTIC First Pressing having been pressed in 1968 by “BESTWAY PRESSING”. It’s also a complete package having the original outer brown bag sleeve included along with the proper sized round glossy white sticker attached at the sleeves’ opening.
Condition is as follows:
* Outer Brown Sleeve -
Very clean and sharp. The sticker has obviously been opened but reminds fully attached in its original position. It shows a slightly noticeable amount of glue spotting, as it should, for being on this sleeve for over 50 years. The only wear on this near stock fresh sleeve is a small one inch rip (no missing material) directly above the sticker on the backside of the sleeve.
* Main Cover -
Solid EX. Again, very clean and sharp. No rubs or ring wear. Nearly stock fresh. The only flaw here is a small amount of excess manufacturing glue that can be seen above John’s head on the back cover. It can probably be easily removed by chipping it off with a fingernail but I think it is fine leaving it on where it is as part of the original packaging.

Mint. I played it once before listing it tonight. Stock fresh.
There are countless pirated copies and bootlegs out there that do come somewhat close to the original but non that attempts to be a BESTWAY Pressing. Next to a sealed copy you won’t find many better originals than the one I’m offering here.
Yes it’s a very strange record to listen to but it does have one heck of a history. I do remember trying to purchase a copy when it was released only to be told by the teenaged clerk that all the copies were confiscated by some government agency right out of the rear of the store before they could be put of the shelves. That only made us (fans) more interested and excited.
