One of the original 15 embroidered denim sleeves by Laura Lees
So rare that there is very little information online to go by so took it upon myself to contact Laura Lees personally and this is what she had to say...
To her recollection she only made 15 and not the supposed 12 or 30 copies speculation that is floating around the web. Each design would have had a skull, arrow or combination thereof and was signed off with her signature in yellow thread. Lastly, a plastic business card was popped in the pocket, but she didn't add any condoms to her initial run of 15 copies herself. This was more likely added by Lemon Jelly themselves with the other copies.
The reason for not completeing the asking quota of 1000 and stopping after just 15 copies was simply that it was too time consuming for her.
I can assure any potential buyer that this copy has very close ties to Laura herself and that is was acquired from her circle of friends.
Thus concludes just how rare these 15 copies are and I have never seen one for sale as yet and it's highly unlikely you will. This has to be the rarest of all Lemon Jelly memorabilia and have based my asking price on this. I am however, open to sensible offers and am only selling to fund an upcoming 5 year wedding anniversary gift.
