Description
On offer are four Legendary Pink Dots tapes. These tapes were purchased though the Jarmusic mailorder in 1992.
Included are Traumstad 1, Traumstadt 2, Premonition and Basilisk.
All the cassettes themselves are just the regular retail brands (TDK, SONY) so I suppose Jarmusic reproduced these simply on demand. Although none of them is numbered or signed, one has to assume that artist did get royalties as they were sold by the regular distributor in Germany. And so should be considered official LPD releases indeed. All the tapes played nicely when recently tried on a walkman. But don't expect the clarity of later remasters; at the time of selling much of these were original and still obscure (early) LPD recordings.
In the opening track of basilisk there is a short "hitch", probably generated by accidentally pressing the recording button on the device for a second.
The cassettes come with a small insert and a photo (with Jarmusic stamp on the back).
For both inserts and photos, consider the quality mixed, but averagely VG. They have clearly been enjoyed /used so to say. The insert of Traumstadt 1 is cut half a cm on the top edge and has some small red pencial marks. The Premoniton sheet has some stains on the bottom white edge.
The tapes do not come with outer protective cases.
Note Traumstadt 3: Also available is the Traumstadt 3 cassette, but this is however just the bare tape, no insert, no photo included (lost or never received, don't remember). This tape is optional for the buyer when he is willing to pay the additional shipping cost as follows: * Netherlands: No extra cost (Traumstadt 3 tape will automatically be added to the parcel). * Belgium, Denmark (mainland), Germany, France (mainland), Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, Spain, UK (mainland), Sweden: Surcharge EUR 2,50 * Other Europe: Surcharge EUR 5,-- * Outside Europe: Surcharge EUR 8,--
