Lee Perry and The Full Experience, "Disco Devil", Bob Marley and Wong Chu, "Keep On Moving", Lee Perry pushing the new 12" format to it's limits in 1977 at the Black Ark, essential piece for all Perry, Marley or Reggae collectors in general.
This is the first issue with solid sleeve, printed on recycled Maytones covers, (see photos below), and "Disco Devil" printed directly on the sleeve. Some people claim that the die cut sleeves are the first issue, all that I can say is that I believe this to be the first issue, as does author of "Kiss Me Neck A Lee Perry Companion" and Reggae expert Jeremy Collingwood, what is generally agreed is that the stickered sleeves appeared after both printed types.
The matrices are:
LEE PERRY 931 A MADE IN JAMAICA BS RRS C-O-R
LEE PERRY 931 B MADE IN JAMAICA BI RRS
Visually side A is excellent-, one very feint radial mark and a couple of feint scuffs, side B is excellent, the slightest of scuffing.
Both sides play excellently with just the slightest of surface noise, possibly due to the pressing quality or even tape hiss.
The A side label has just a little damage, the B side label is excellent.
The front of the sleeve has four slightly dirty areas where stickers have been removed and a small area of damage in the top right, the rear of the sleeve is excellent, there is a small spine split approximately 4cm long and slight wear to the edges.
