Up for auction is an ORIGINAL MONO pressing of The Young Lions - Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Timmons, Frank Strozier, alto ; Bob Cranshaw, bass ;  Louis Haynes and Albert "Tuttie"" Heath, drums   NM/VG+ LP!!    QUITE RARE ITEM
This is an original deep groove VEE Jay LP with no visible or audible flaws. Wayne Shorter turns in some of his earliest compositions here on his second date in the studio. He had just recorded under his own leadership on the same label. Lee Morgan, Bobby Timmons need no introduction as they were already well established as are the drumming styles of both drummers here.
This is a powerful collective of top shelf musicians and they are all in the best of form and sound wonderfully inspired on this date. I love this LP and it never fails to remind me of how amazing the jazz of this era is. The talent in the grooves of this LP should blow your speakers but they don't, fortunately, because this music is pure and refined jazz. It is the type they don't write or play anymore. The special quality in these players that blossomed in the 50's was exceptionally rare and abundant upon reflection. The labels were all turning LPs out that have now become the high water mark of greatness to which good jazz is measured. 
The LP is in beautiful condition full of luster and the playback is equally as good. See images...
Condition: LP: EX (conservatively graded),  Jacket: VG+ ( The bottom right corner has a wrinkle that is visible in photo, and the prior owner had a stamp with their name and address. The back has been stamped 2 times. There are hand written initials on back top left in small clean pen as well. The back shows light ring wear, and the white paper has aged from the glue. Light rubbing is visible. Laminated front cover is free from any peeling,  splitting to any seams, and spine is clean and crisp. Light corner wear...

I remove LPs from jacket and pack the jacket and LP in a LP outer sleeve protector, pack securely in custom LP shipping box with added protection on both sides. I've been doing this a long time and it is my priority to get you your LP fast and safe.
