Description
USA Blue Note Reissue in Stereo from 1966. An early Liberty era pressing.
Mastered by Rudy Van Gelder VAN GELDER pressed in the run off.
Extremely rare copy the labels printed on the wrong sides. Side 1 has the label for side 2 and vice versa.
This press was originally intended for the Japanese market I believe as it has a Japanese insert. Not sure if it ever got there though I got this copy from a dealer in Spain.
Only selling as I have another version of this album, albeit in not as good condition just an earlier pressing. The album itself does not need any other comments, it is a bona-fide, stone cold Blue Note classic if only because of the title track and cover design. I personally prefer Hocus Pocus.
The record is virtually NM and plays through as that apart from 7 or 8 seconds of track 2 Side 1 (if the labels were right that is), Totem Pole where there is a visible mark that causes a slight tick on each revolution for a few turns. Also slight damage to cover drops the cover rating which is otherwise in brilliant condition.
