Lee Morgan - Search for the New Land - Blue Note - Van Gelder - "White B" - 1977 pressing


One of the great Blue Note albums, Lee Morgan's 1966 classic reissued here in 1977 with Van Gelder mastering (and his name in the runouts). Visually, somewhere between strong VG and VG+. There are a few (very few) scattered, light marks, scuffs, and short scratches. None are substantial to my eyes, and none affected play on my system. Playback was clean and crisp for me. VG Jacket presents very well. It has some very light staining (looks a bit darker in the image than in reality), light ringwear, a little bubbling, a slight bend at lower left, some edgewear top and bottom, and about three inches of splitting in the top middle (see last photo). This is one of my favorite albums, but this is my second copy so I’m happy for it to find a good home.
