LEE MORGAN Search For The New Land BLP 4169
Up for auction is a very nice early Liberty (1966) mono pressing of Lee Morgan's February 1964 sextet session, "Search For The New Land". Almost hard to believe that Blue Note let this sit on the shelf for more than 2 years before releasing. Features a front line of Morgan, Shorter and Grant Green. One of Blue Note's finer mid-60s releases, this session grows more significant in stature by the day.
DEAD WAX INFO: Side 1 has BNLP-4169-A etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has BNLP-4169-B etched into the dead wax. Both sides have VAN GELDER stamped into the dead wax. Early mono Liberty pressing, probably circa late 1966. VINYL VISUAL: VG+ overall with Side 1 being on the low side (a few minor marks), and Side 2 being pretty much NM (no marks worth mention).
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG+ and with excellent fidelity and a very low noise level and a few minor ticks Side 1.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ at the very best with some rubbing wear. Spine and top seam are just starting to show fatigue. PLEASE SEE PICTURES.

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis.
