Lee Morgan Live at the Lighthouse (Blue Note BST-89906) 2-LP gatefold VAN GELDER stamped
Morgan (tpt) with Bennie Maupin (ts, fl, b cl); Harold Mabern (p); Jymie Merritt (b); and Mickey Roker (d).
Recorded live in july 1970 in Hermosa Beach, CA. Original release 1971.
Issue: 1973 repressing; blue center labels with black 'B'. Copies with VAN GELDER stamped in runout were cut from Rudy Van Gelder's masters.

Side 4 runout: BNST 89906 D SIDE 4 VAN GELDER
Condition of Record: NM. Very minor spindle wear on sides 3 and 4. Record was played, twice, in the late seventies but not since. Few stray marks, the kind that vinyl accrues over the decades; not even a real blemish anywhere. Will play like new after cleaning.
LP front cover shows ringwear, more on bottom than on top. Also, some ringwear on front side, left, near spine. Artists photos on front are good. Large artist photo on back is very good. Otherwise, back cover has ringwear, though less than on front cover. Bottom edges (there are two; it's a gatefold LP) have shelfwear. Top edges do not. Vertical edge, at opening, where sides 3 and 4 slip in, has two bumps. Where sides 1 and 2 slip in, there's no bump. Bottom and top corners of open ends have small bumps.
Wide two-panel face - when gatefold is open - is in excellent condition, including great photo of Morgan playing. (Liner note printed in very small font.) Spine is fine - text clean and clear - with only a small bump at bottom corner.
No splits at all on any edge.
I'm an independent seller divesting his own record collection. I'm not selling from a store or warehouse, with multiple copies of titles, or on behalf of a professional collector.
Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay amount as determined by destination, by shipping method he chooses, and by insurance required (see: below); I don't gouge the price to make more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)
Insurance is mandatory on shipments to US addresses: The final price of the item determines the amount of insurance required. Please wait till I inform you of your total cost prior to submitting payment. It and not Ebay's stated cost is the amount to be paid.
**For winners outside US**: USPS shipping options are International Priority and International Express. Both methods include insurance but only Express has tracking. (Check USPS's website for shipping prices.) If you want a private-company shipper, I will quote you the cost at end of auction. First-Class-Package service, which doesn't include insurance, is an option; the shipping cost will be lower, but if your item doesn't arrive you have no recourse. The risk is yours.
Packing: The LP will be carefully wrapped, then placed in a standard, cardboard LP box. Please indicate any special instructions.
Payment: I accept Paypal. I also accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries.
Returns: Returns will be accepted in cases of error in description.
