Audiohpile 180g 45RPM Doppel-LP Auflage aus dem Hause "Music Matters". Alle LPs dieser Serie von Blue Note Wiederveröffentlichungen wurden mit äußerster Sorgfalt bei Acous Tech von den originalen Bändern neu gemastered. Die Gatefold-Cover sind aus schwerer Pappe gefertigt und hochglanzbeschichtet. Die Innenseite der Cover zeigt bisher unveröffentlichtes Bildmaterial der damaligen Sessions. - Die Platten sind in Klang und Fertigung überragend. Es handelt sich zum Teil um weniger populäre, aber ganz außergewöhnliche Aufnahmen. Einige Titel dieser Serie sehen seit Ihrer ursprünglichen Veröffentlichung hier die erste Neuauflage. Der Hersteller schreibt über das Album:
"Every genre has its prodigies. Jazz had Lee Morgan. At 18, Morgan was already a mature improviser with a sound and a confident style of his own. While influenced by Clifford Brown who died just a few months before Morgan recorded his debut album, Morgan was rapidly becoming one of the great hard bop trumpeters, filling the huge vacuum left by Brown's absence. He holds his own with altoist Clarence Sharpe and an all-star rhythm section that includes Horace Silver and Philly Joe Jones. As each note on Presenting Lee Morgan shows, he was not only a young trumpeter on his way but a great player from the start."
