Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti ,1975 UK Original Swan Song SSK 89400 A1/B5/C1/D1 with Superb audio &  sleeve

Catalouge number:
Swan Song SSK 89400 This has the following  matrix numbers
Side 1:  SSK 89400 A 1    Side 2:  SSK 89400 B 5* Side 3:  SSK 89400 C 1 Side 4:  SSK 89400 D 1 *I believe that along with A1/B4/C1/D1 these A1/B5/C1/D1 are also the first press matrix numbers.   I have often compared the sound of both. There is no any difference (simetimes with B5 sounds even better).  I think that the main sign of the first press - absence of a logo WEA on the lable (and again in this case you can feel significant difference in sound quality).

Vinyl    EX  Clean surface. Under bright light  fine hairlines and scuffs were visible. I have played the record from the beginning to the end (all four sides) and it sounds superb without any background noise and only with light crackle which can be heard in the quiet parts and the run-ins/outs (some more at the beginning and quiet parts of "The Rover"). There are faint repetitive tics at the middle of "In The Light". They are not so loud and audible for 45 - 50 sec. from left chanel and only at quiet part of the track and virtualy do not spoil very enjoyable and expressive sounding. Only few static tics to entire album. Perhaps it is all. I think not so much  for 4 sides and 82 min 15 sec of cult music. Powerful and clear sound of the original press with extremely realistically and very expressively audio. "Trampled Under Food" and "Kashmir" sounds great and "Bron-Yr-Aur" with brilliant Page's acoustic guitar simply beautifulThis is excellent example.

Labels  EX+   Clean and bright. I can not see any spindle marks (please see photo).

Sleeve  EX/EX+  Original (with red text on the spine) Die-cut sleeve is in a superb shape with no damage, splits, writing, tears or stickers etc. with very light signs of use. It is a great copy (please see photo).

Spine   EX/EX+  (please see photo).

Insert   EX/EX+   Original fold-out insert is in a great shape with no damage, writing, tears etc. (please see photo) .

Inner sleeves EX/EX+  Original (with cat. numbers) inner sleeves are in superb shape with no damage, writing, tears, splits etc. (please see photo).

This is great example of cult album with Excellent Clear audio and Beautiful sleeve.

Grading System: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradins  where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
