Description
Led Zeppelin was a British rock band extremely popular in the 1970s with members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. Their influence on rock music has been considerable and are regularly cited as the progenitors of both hard rock and heavy metal. Physical Graffiti was commercially and critically successful and debuted at number one in the UK. This is the original US stereo release with the die-cut sleeve design of a New York City tenement block through whose windows various cultural icons could be interchangeably viewed.
Physical Graffiti was their 6th studio album and their first release on their own Swan Song Records label, released as a double album on 24 February 1975. The total playing time covered just under three sides of an LP, so they decided to expand it into a double by including previously unreleased tracks from earlier albums. It covers a range of styles including hard rock, progressive rock, rock 'n' roll and folk, and was a commercial and critical success. Plant later felt that it represented the band at its creative peak.
Departing from the usual gatefold design Physical Graffiti includes four cardboard parts: two inners (one for each disc), a text insert, and an outer cover. The outer cover has die-cut windows on the building, so when the middle cover is wrapped around the inner covers and slid into the outer cover, the title of the album is shown on the front cover, spelling out the name "Physical Graffiti”.

This is the original stereo US edition in Near Mint condition. The owner was a dedicated UK collector so wear is almost non-existent and all cardboard sections are near perfect with just the slightest corner creases. Records are very shiny and play very well. Visually some minor light hairline surface wear that does not hinder the great sound.
Can post very well packaged within Australia or overseas with Australia Post.
