Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III, 1970 UK Original Atlantic 2401 002 Red/Plum Lable

THE LEMON SONG IS LISTED ON SLEEVE, AND ON  KILLING FLOOR ON LABEL  Catalouge number:        Atlantic 2401 002
This has the following  matrix numbers: Side 1: 2401 002   A-7   11 11    ( earlier ever pressing)  with DO WHAT THOU WILT
Side 2: 2401 002   B-5   15 16    with  SO MOTE IT BE

There is Celebration instead of Celebration Day at the side 1 lable

Vinyl     VG/VG+   Under bright light many hairlines, scuffs and thin scratches were visible. I have played the record from the beginning to the end and it sounds with moderate crackle and light clicks. No sticks no jumps.I grade side 1 as VG and side 2 as VG++. But despite this the sound of this record is very enjoyable. The vibrancy, seperation and clarity of the first press is realy great through out.

Labels  VG+  Clean and bright. Only few spindle marks (please see photo).

Sleeve  VG+/EX  Original laminated gatefold sleeve is in great condition with light signs of use. Made in Germany (pic.10). Nice copy (please see photo ).

Spine   VG+/EX    (please see photo).

Inner sleeve  VG The original (but not from this album) EMI inner sleeve has splits but is still in nice condition (please see photo).

Quite acceptable example of a great  album.

Grading System: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradins  where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
