Visual Grading System
(Please note: Our grading is a visual grade only. We simply do not have the time to listen to every track on every album front and back to test for various skips or surface noise. We have nearly 1000+ items in inventory with more to come. Please understand this when purchasing our vinyl records. We do not listen to records. We do our absolute best to personally go through every record to describe the visual condition to the best of our ability. Grading is done under a strong "daylight" bright light. We use the Goldmine Standard for grading records and it is done honestly and fairly.)


Visual vinyl grading is as follows:

“SS” - STILL SEALED -- For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.

“M” - MINT -- a near perfect, or unplayed record.

“NM” - NEAR MINT -- in factory fresh condition, like new, no visual scratches

"EX+" - EXCELLENT PLUS -- pretty close to like new with only superficial signs of use, very very light marks, (one or two) that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.

"EX" - EXCELLENT -- a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.

"VG+" - VERY GOOD PLUS -- There will be obvious signs of wear on case and the possibility of a few scuffs, scratches and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice
"VG" - VERY GOOD -- Significant wear and marks/scratches and usually quite noticeable surface noise, still plays good.
"G" - GOOD -- In the record world, "Good" is not good! From here on down, we're talking about beat-up records, obvious scratches, etc. Many good records are still playable.
