Plum/red label format !EARLIEST A3/B3 matrix!Very scarce TOP misprint on label instead of Misty Mountain HOP ! Only a very few went unnoticed showing this blatant title track error , so very difficult to locate especially in this condition. Original dark brown inner sleeve ! Excellent visual…vinyl surface appears virtually unmarked under ordinary light! Audio is superb, delivering tones with a warm punch and a sharp definition. First issue matt album sleeve. Remarkable exhibit! Will find difficult to match.
UK release
1971 cat no. 2401012 DE LUXE edition ORIGINAL first UK press with Pecko Duck/Porky hand etched on run offs . Super cool vinyl on offer here ! Virtually unmarked appearance under ordinary light conditions, except for a couple of hairlines, one of which extends across two tracks . Reflects a highly reflective sheen . Impossible to locate in this remarkable condition .
Matrix A3/B3 super rare and one of the earliest and very first issues of this monumental Zep classic .
Labels rare plum/red Atlantic format with light spindle trace only. EX condition with very little damage to report. Misty mountain Top instead of Hop on label. Rare error and hard to find.
Audio
Excellent !!! Sensational aural delivery. Excellent tones and Black Dog exemplifies its true class, by opening the audio in tremendous style with superb clear channels. First 2-3 revolutions on S1Tr1 couple of clicks but on examination, nothing visual at that point. Also, S1tr3, opening grooves some light static/surface detected. Otherwise clear channels for most of playback, with no serious problems at all. A superb aural delivery with very little to fault.
Original dark brown,1st issue, inner sleeve in very good + condition . No rips, nor tears. Three seam splits/8cms, 5cms, 1cm respectively. Ultra clean and a true original with flip backs on its laterals, only found on the first inner brown sleeves.
Gatefold sleeve, matt original, first issue in VG+/Ex- condition. Some general fading on inner centrefold . Spine just starting to wear. Light staining, hardly visible on reverse. No rips, nor tears. Lower edge wear . Normally found heavily worn but this is a fine example of this matt gatefold sleeve ,later ones are found glossier with a thinner paper/card manufacture.
