Led Zeppelin IV" Top Error" UK 1st press A3 B3 1971 PECKO DUCK PORKY *RARE*!!!!!
This has the "MISTY MOUNTAIN TOP" error printed on the label vs the song's name that should be "MISTY MOUNTAIN HOP". It does not have Peter Grant credits. This should be the 4th label variation in the 1st pressing as the Under License is inside the white box. Has "PECKO DUCK" and "PORKY" hand written in the deadwax, which references George Peckham who is one of the top audio engineers out there, meaning this sounds top notch! This is a highly sought after version and is one of the rare true 1st pressings.
Record: This thing overall sounds AMAZING!!! But there are a few minor issues noted below. Also please take a look at the photos and zoom in.
Side A: VG+/VG++ - When you first look at this record it looks very very clean, but if you look a tad deeper you see a few feelable scratches. Most noteable is a 1/4" ish scratch at the end of "Rock And Roll" and the beginning of "The Battle of Evermore" which does make a ticking sound. There is also a small feelable mark not far into "Black Dog" which will probably make a few ticks. Other than those, it appears to have a few superficial scratches on it. The shine is lovely, the sound is excellent minus these few spots.
Side B: VG++ - Looks clean but has a good amount of superficial marks on it. Should play well with some noise here and there. I dont see any major feelable marks, some marks might be slightly feelable but nothing that catches the nail or anything like that. Overall a nice looking side for this records age.
Jacket: VG++ - Overall very clean, nothing extreme to note. A few minor marks here and there as well as a few crease marks, some slight indentations on the back cover, but overall very very clean.
Insert: Yes (original)
NOTES: 1st UK Pressing, "PECKO DUCK" and "PORKY" hand written in the deadwax, 4th label variation of 1st pressing. "TOP" error label. ULTRA RARE PRESSING!!!
