Led Zeppelin IV LP (UK FIRST PRESS, STICKERED, V. Rare!! Page, Plant, VG+ vinyl)

This is an LP by Led Zeppelin called Led Zeppelin IV, released in the UK by Atlantic Records in 1971.   

I won't waste your time with big shouty descriptions saying how rare and awesome this record is.    All collectors will know the rarity of this item.  There are several differences between the IV first, earliest pressing and the rest of the pressings.  Some of these differences were glaring errors made which caused severe disturbance within the band.

The earliest first pressings include:  

*  It has the "Under License To…"  text in the orange part of the label rather than in the white strip in the middle.  All later issues and later records have this text within the strip.  

*  There is no Superhype music credit after the tracklisting.  There is only Kinney Music.   This is an error that was later corrected on the first pressing (A3/B3) with stickers (see my other listings).  

*  The band name is in smaller letters near the bottom of the labels which, again, corrected on the first pressing records with stickers (see my other listings) 

*  The Matrix endings on the run out grooves are A3/B3  which is very rare indeed.  Later pressings had A3/B4.  

*  The flipback inner sleeve is made of thicker paper than later pressings and is slightly darker than later inners.  

*  The extra Peter Grant producer credit

In later versions of this earliest first pressing, the labels were over stickered to move the band name up to the top of the label (just under the four symbols), correct the omission of Superhype and deleting the extra Peter Grant credit. 

I find these versions actually rarer than the uncorrected first pressings!  

VINYL:  VG+     The vinyl is very shiny with some faint paper marks and several light hairlines.   There will be occasional clicks and crackles.    

LABELS:  EX      There are only a few faint spindle marks.  No wear, sticker marks or writing.   The stickers applied to correct some of the errors of earlier labels are intact although a couple of them have tiny bends on the corners and there are a couple of very tiny, white-ish spots.

INNER:  VG       The original flipback inner is pretty nice however the bottom edge is completely split open and a tiny split on the side.  There is  a small name written on one side, along the top edge and a small number written in pen on the other side, along the top edge.   Otherwise, on first glance, the sleeve looks really nice!  There is no surface wear, no stains, sticker marks or discolourations.

SLEEVE: VG+     The gatefold sleeve is very nice with some light corner/edge wear, some very slight shelf wear on the surfaces and a few faint surface creases showing on the back.

POSTAGE COSTS/TIME:   Ebay is not my primary employment and therefore I cannot get to the post office every day.  I will post within 5 business days of cleared payment.  Please make sure you are happy to wait at least 6 days (UK) for your item before bidding.   I do not post on weekends or holidays.

Email for combined postage rates.  I use heavy mailers with stiffeners and plastic sleeves which are included in the postage.  All items will have Proof of Postage.  Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery which is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.     With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

RETURNS:  Quite simple:  For any reason you aren't happy, send it back to me.  If I messed up - full refund including return postage.   If I didn't mess up - refund of purchase less postage.  Email me with anything,  I'm flexible so just give me a chance to work things out.   

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
