Description

Trying to downsize, so I am selling lots of my old hifi bits and records that I no-longer listen to or have duplicates of, so please have a look at my other items too over the next few weeks.

  • Label: 1972 (1st UK repressing after the plum labels? Sometimes referred to as a 'transitional version', as it has both catalogue numbers on it and is the early 'Porky' and 'Pecko' mastering).
  • Matrix: K50008 & 2401012: A3 'Pecko Duck'/B4 'Porky'
  • Vinyl condition: Excellent - hardly looks played, a few very minor marks/pops - plays v.well
  • Sleeve/label etc condition: Very Good - excellent sleeve/little wear BUT cellotape marks along all edges & spine; inner sleeve has small side splits, tear and cellotape marks; labels excellent- with minor marks
This is an 'odd' Led Zep IV, in that it has the Porky/Becko stamps but green labels, so probably an early pressing from 1972?

The record has been cleaned using the Nessie Vinylcleaner Pro pictured, and has been listened to before grading. It will come with a new Nagaoka anti-static inner within the original one, sealed in an plastic envelope and in a heavy-duty mailer.

I use the Record Collectors' Grading descriptions below. I will always include a basic description with '+ / -' to help explain the grading, particularly for records that are 30-50 years old. Please also look carefully at the pictures.


Record Collector Grading System

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
