Description

An original 1st issue on USA Atlantic from whilst charting. Note the labels mention the original Atlantic address "1841 Broadway" - this must be present for 1st issue. Etching 'Porky/Pecko'. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card gatefold cover. We have a lyric inner too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Expect a good few very light marks per side - seemingly nothing heavy or troublesome that impinge all that much on the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation in a couple of spots. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Some lovely audio rolling off this copy - very addictive! By and large a lovely clean player with some fantastic energy. The only issues I could pick out was a solitary click in the opening seconds of 'California', and another in Stairway. In addition, all I could detect were a few isolated crackles briefly in one spot in Stairway [no big deal]. Given how fussy the acoustic numbers are it's a real treat to hear Stairway and Evermore playing nice and clean like this. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Very respectable and has clearly been cared for down the years. Very nice flat and clean front and rear with only slight handling wear. The interior looks fine. There are a few white fleck marks here and there - please be aware these seem to date from the original print job [and are not deterioration]. Some light edge wear in places, but nothing bad. The spine looks fine with just the odd bit of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged and some grubbiness. Sides have split and been taped up,
