Rare RL Bob [Robert Ludwig] cut Pressing
"RL" ETCHED BOTH SIDES ON DEAD WAX
Mastered By – Robert Ludwig "HOT MIX"
Red/green label
with Atlantic 1841 Broadway address on labels and cover
US original pressing with the rare RL (Bob Ludwig) initials etched on both sides of the trail off wax. RL is Bob (Robert) Ludwig and this is the famous "bass" original mix that was withdrawn because early record players couldn't handle the bass and would skip
This is known as the "Hot Mix" by mastering guru, Robert "Bob" Ludwig, providing for a much fuller sound than the mixes that came later. This mix was pulled early on due to people complaining about their needles skipping, thinking the LP was defective. Of course, it was due to the lp being played on inferior record players that couldn't handle the mix!
1841 Broadway on label and on the inside of gatefold...

I could not get a good picture of the "RL" with my camera but will try if its something someone needs for verification.
I have included a picture of the edge of the album where there is some minor damage. It does not effect the sound in any way.
The cover is in good condition with just some scuffs on the edges. There is a small marking with pen on the back bottom corner.
The paper sleeve is in good condition but is separating at the edges.
