Description
For auction is a rare first U.K. issue of Led Zeppelin II with the first press misprint on the side 2 label of ‘Livin Lovin Wreck’.
Gatefold sleeve is in VG+ condition. Has some ring, corner and edge wear but otherwise intact with a fully readable spine. This is the original light brown version.
Original inner sleeve is in excellent condition
Visually Side 1 is a conservative VG. There are scuffs, hairlines and other marks but nothing deep. Sonically it plays as VG+ apart from ‘Whole lotta Love’ which has a couple of short skips in the first minute. Apart from this the only issue is crackles which are noticeable in the quiet passages (although being Led Zep there are not many of those!).
Side 2 looks VG+, with fewer marks. Plays as VG+ with crackles and a few pops as only issue. A good professional clean might improve the sound quality further.
Labels clean and unmarked.
Apart from the skips early on side 1 this is a very good copy of a rare first issue of Led Zeppelin II.
