Description
Superb original 1st Japanese pressing of Led Zeppelin’s second album “Led Zeppelin II”.
Comes with the Obi and original insert.
¥1800 price on rear of sleeve.
Really nice condition throughout. It would be very hard to find a better copy of this superb pressing.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: 〄MT-1091A Ⓗ A-2-8
Side 2: MT-1091B Ⓗ A-1-7 CBO
Vinyl visually grades EX+ with a couple of tiny sleeve removal marks under strong light only. Very very close to NM. The only other issue is a small white mark in the space between Track 1 & 2 on side A. This is pressed in to the vinyl so is a pressing fault rather than wear on the record. It causes a little crackle only and is between the tracks so doesn’t affect the music.
The record is fully tested and it sounds superb. There is a very small amount of crackle/background noise in a couple of spaces between tracks but this is genuinely minimal and infrequent. Play grade is EX to EX+.
The sleeve is very crisp and clean overall. It has a very small amount of storage wear and a few small foxing spots, but this is minimal and overall this is in tremendous condition. EX+
Insert is also EX+. Very very minor foxing only.
Obi is in great condition too.
Overall this has been very very well looked after and it would be hard to find a better original 1969 pressing. It looks and sounds superb. Superb mastering and very high quality pressing. It sounds raw and loud with really deep bass and clear high ends. This is one of my all time favourite albums (if not my favourite) and I have several early UK red and Plum label copies. This one has much better clarity but retains the grungy raw sound and deep punchy bass sometimes missing from Japanese pressings. Really nice record!
