This auction is for:

Led Zeppelin II - Plum Atlantic 588198, 1969, UK, A6/B4, with Killing Floor title credit.

This is a stunning copy - the light brown matt gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT + condition, with only minimal wear, sharp corners, immaculate spine, minimal signs of ring wear & light creasing. Printed by E.J. Day & Co., designed by David Juniper.

This first pressing gatefold cover has:

• light brown colour

• “Under licence from Atlantic Recording Corprn. USA”

• “Manufactured by POLYDOR RECORDS LTD”

• 588 198 on inner gatefold

• Uptight and outasight text

The original die cut poly lined inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition, some minor creasing and discolouration, minimal signs of handling. Dated 1270, 588 198 pencil written top right corner.

Stunning vinyl - EXCELLENT + , some faint hairlines only, no surface marks or scratches, vibrant colours on the beautiful plum labels, some spindle marks, no lessening in sound quality.

This 3rd pressing label variation has:

• publishing credits for Warner Bros. and Jewel Music

• produced by Jimmy Page below album title in orange segment

• Track 3, side 1 “Killing Floor”

• Track 4, side 1 “Thank you” now in two words

• Track 1 + 4 , side 2 songwriting credit for Baldwin, instead of Jones

• Track 2, side 2 changed to “Livin’ lovin’maid (She’s just a woman)

Matrix/Runout:

Play graded on a Thorens TD 160, Ortofon VMS20E MkII, B&W 685 speakers, Rotel amp and cleaned on an Okki Nokki RCM.

Grading as per RRPG. Returns accepted.

Postage: 2nd signed for UK with Royal Mail. A combined postage possible, but please get in touch for more information on additional costs. All records will be posted in professional mailers with stiffeners, the vinyl will be removed from the cover and placed behind cover in a plastic sleeve to avoid damage to the cover.

Europe/Rest of the free world is £15.00 for one record. international tracked/signed for. Postage to Russia with Royal Mail currently at £16.50, to Japan at £18.50.
