This is the coveted US first pressing of Led Zeppelin II featuring Robert Ludwig’s “hot” mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. It has RL on both sides and SS (Sterling Sound)on one side.
That being said this album is only in poor to fair condition, intended for someone who wants to own a copy until a nicer copy can be obtained. It has a lot of superficial scratches that cause crackling throughout. I played the whole album thru and there are multiple skips, or needle jumps, but no hangups that cause repeat. The cover has water damage as seen in the pics and a small seam split on top, but looks nice when you open the gatefold.
