Description

A 1st pressing of Zep II on UK Atlantic from 1969. Matrix A2/B2. Label states 'Lemon Song' - as everyone knows all subsequent reissues of this LP [after the 1st] show the track as 'Killing Floor' due to litigation.The Lp comes housed in an original cover printed by Ernest J Day. Also included is the original plastic bag inner.
Cover (Vg+) These original Zep II covers usually turn up looking a bit worse for wear, but this one has survived the years much better than most. The surfaces are relatively unmarked and only show very light ageing. There's some light edge wear, but nothing serious. The spine is relatively intact and all text readable. A very decent example all round.
Vinyl (Vg) Still looks in really nice condition, but has seen a moderate amount of use. There are a number of marks on both sides - mostly light..a couple, however, do cause issues. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, VERYGOOD level of playback with a couple of deviations. The audio comes across with good clarity and only a bit of interference. We are talking a bit of light crackle in places and the occasional pop here and there. But in reality playback is still very decent indeed - you really can't hold back these original copies they were built to last! Please note there are two marks which cause brief non-repeating skips. One during Whole Lotta and one in the quiet mid section of Lemon Song. Providing you are happy to live with this this Lp represents a cheap entry route to one of the most sought after LPs in heavy rock.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing and no splits.
